Amon Goeth-Dynamic
-From the beginning of the book, Amon has been ruthless. He threatened anyone who got in his way, beat his workers, and without remorse, killed Jews that were doing their work. Goeth killed for the fun of it and it stayed like this throughout the book. -Antagonist -Unlike Schindler, Goeth is a ruthless man who seems to not have feelings toward anyone but himself and his various mistresses. He is completely content with murdering people for no reason whatsoever and he doesn't seem to have any regret after doing so. He puts his Jews in harsh working conditions and sends them to various concentration camps before establishing one of his own. -Direct Characterization: -He's a man of average height, dark hair, and an enlarged stomach. Generous drinker. He has a tendency of inflicting physical abuse on just about anyone. -Indirect Characterization: -Amon is a man driven by greed, wealth, power, and women. He doesn't care about anyone except for himself and people that are in power over him because he craves to be in power. |
